Author Guidelines

Formatting Guidelines
Following instructions are required to be followed by authors carefully before submitting the
manuscript to Yashfeen Journal of heath Innovation & Practice

Research Article: The research article should include the following;

  •  Title page
  • Abstract
  • Introduction
  • Methodology
  • Results
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • List of references
  • Appendices
  • Table and figures

Review Article: The review article should consist of summarize scientific literature on
relevant topic comprises the following;

  • Title page
  • Introduction
  • List of references

Manuscript draft:

  • The manuscript must be written in concise, clear and grammatically correct language in
    English.
  • It must be typed and submitted as Microsoft Word Document (doc. Or Docx) file.
  • Times New Roman; Font-Size =12 points; Line-Spacing 1.5; Margins =1 Inch- all sides. The space between the sentences should be normal to aid readability.
  • Every page of the draft should include a page header (Title, all caps) in the upper left-hand corner and the page number in the upper right.
  • All manuscript text should be in a single column and justified.

Title page

  • The article title must be mentioned on the title page. New Roman; Font-Size =12 points;
    Boldface font.
  • Authors names with their affiliations.
  • The authors names should be correctly spelled, ordered with no abbreviations.
  • Different author affiliations should be indicated with the superscripted such as a, b, c and so on, must be mentioned immediately after the name of the authors.
  • The further correspondence will be done with the Corresponding author, should provide the valid email address with contact number (WhatsApp).

Abstract

  • The abstract should include a brief summary of objectives, purpose of study, methodology, findings and conclusion.
  • The abstract should be centered at the top of the page.
  • New Roman; Font-Size =12 points; justified text.
  • It should be in a single paragraph not exceed 250-300 words.

Main Body
The main body of the article must contain the following headings for the research paper.

Introduction

The introduction must be brief containing importance of study, background information,
identification of gap and clear objective of the research.

Methodology

This section of methodology can be divided in sub-sections including study design,
sampling, materials, data analysis, methods must be cleared so that other scientists can
easily replicate.

Results

All the results should be well explained all the parameters described in the methods section. This section can be sub-divided according to the methods mention in the methodology
section. Results must be correlated with the parameters presented in the graphs and figures.

Graphs

The graphs should be embedded in the text wherever appropriate. Graphs in photo or
picture format except those developed from certain software of instrument, will not be
accepted in any case. The graphs should be prepared in Microsoft excel (xl.) in editable
format. The caption of graph should be given at the bottom of each graph. The fonts in the
graph such as category values, axis titles etc should be visible.

Tables

All tables should be placed in main text with their corresponding section. The table should
be made in Microsoft word (doc.) in editable format. Tables in the form of images or picture
will not be accepted in any case. Top most row of the table must contain the self-
explanatory title of the table. The footnote should be embedded in the lower most row of
the table comprising details of statistical and mathematical notations, abbreviations.

Picture or Photo Figure

The picture or photo figures should be of best quality in JPEG file format. The author must
provide picture of photo in original size and quality whenever required by the reviewers or
editors. Authors are must bound by copy right laws for pictures taken from any book,
internet or any source, not of the author. Therefore, authors will be asked for the written
permission from original source before using in the article.

Artwork figures

Artwork figures should be of the best quality JPEG format such as process cycle,
anatomical redrawn shape, botanical illustrations etc. The artwork other than own taken
from any other source should be used with permission.

Mathematical equations

All the equations should be numbered chronologically if more than one equation in the
article. All equations should be created in Microsoft word’s equation in editable
format. Equations those are provided in the form of picture or photo should not be included or accepted in any case.

Discussion

The discussion in a separate heading or discussed with results, both formats are acceptable. The discussion should justify the results with logical reasons. It should not merely the citations of previous work.

Conclusion

The conclusion should be linked with the objectives of the study. It should clearly explain
that the objectives of study are satisfactorily achieved or not through the data.
Acknowledgement
The author should properly acknowledge those who helped them in study such as funding,
lab facilities, technical supports, logistics, working space etc. in study.

References

Authors should strictly follow the reference instructions. They are encouraged to use reference
managers such as endnote, Mendeley etc. for citation of reference in article. The author should
follow APA style for writing references in article.

In-text citation

The format for in-text citation of article should mention name of author and year.

  • For single author e.g. John, 2022.
  • For two authors e.g. Asif and Yaseen, 2021
  • For more than two authors e.g. Asghar et al., 2020.

Reference list /Bibliography

The author should follow APA style for reference list or bibliography. All should be listed
in alphabetical order.

Declarations

     Ethics

  • Authors should comply with the ethics involved in the research publication.
  • The authors should read and agree with the ethics for research involving animal and
    human subjects and provide the reference number by bioethics committee/office of
    the institute in methodology.
  • There is zero tolerance for plagiarism.
  • Manipulated, fake and stolen data written in article will lead to cancellation if the
    article is accepted for publication, retraction if the article is published in journal,
    rejection of manuscript if the article is not yet accepted.

Conflict of interest
At the end of manuscript, authors should declare any conflict of interest. This conflict of
interest will be published with the article text.

Funding
The authors are strictly advised to mention the funding sources either for research
execution or for publication in the end of the article. If there are no funders, authors can
simply declare “This publication has no funding source”.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
