
Waiver-Eligibility
The Yashfeen Journal of Health Innovation and Practice (YJHIP) offers a waiver of article processing charges (APCs) to authors from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) who meet the following eligibility criteria:
- The author must be affiliated with an academic institution or research institute in an LMIC.
- The author's country must be designated as an LMIC by the World Bank.
- The author must not have published more than five articles in indexed journals in the past three years.
To apply for a waiver, please submit a letter to the YJHIP editors explaining why you believe you are eligible for a waiver. The letter should include the following information:
- Your name and contact information
- Your affiliation
- The title of your article
- The journal in which you are submitting your article
- A statement that you meet the eligibility criteria for a waiver
The YJHIP editors will review your application and notify you of their decision within two weeks.
Here are the World Bank's designation of LMICs:
- Low-income countries (LICs): Countries with a gross national income (GNI) per capita of \$1,025 or less.
- Lower-middle-income countries (LMICs): Countries with a GNI per capita of \$1,026 to \$4,035.
- Upper-middle-income countries (UMICs): Countries with a GNI per capita of \$4,036 to \$12,475.
