Abstract

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a global public health concern, with an increasing prevalence, particularly among the elderly population. This paper aims to explore the intricate relationship between psychological well-being and quality of life in older adults living with CKD. As the aging population continues to grow, understanding the psychosocial aspects of CKD becomes crucial for healthcare providers and policymakers. This comprehensive review integrates existing research, clinical studies, and theoretical frameworks to shed light on the multifaceted dimensions of psychological well-being and quality of life in older CKD patients. The paper also discusses various interventions and strategies to improve the mental health and overall quality of life of this vulnerable population.
