Abstract

In China's new phase of dealing with Covid-19, the main focus is on protecting people's health and preventing serious cases. Meanwhile, special attention is being paid to the elderly, pregnant women, children and people with chronic diseases. Efforts have been stepped up to facilitate vaccination of the elderly and medical services have been expanded. In some areas, doctors are even making home visits to the elderly to vaccinate them. Ensure that fever clinics are available at all times for patients in need. This is why more than 16,000 fever clinics are operational in "Grade Two" hospitals or above across the country, as well as More than 41,000 fever clinics or consultation rooms in community-level health facilities continue to provide services effectively. From consolidating medical resources to increasing the capacity of hospitals to treat critically ill patients, hospitals across the country are working hard and allocating more resources to treat severe cases. A multi-pronged approach has been adopted to meet people's needs for such medicines. Accelerating the review of essential medical products, authorities have granted marketing authorization for 11 drugs for the treatment of Covid-19. Similarly, community-based voluntary initiatives by residents in many cities have been initiated to purchase medical products. Including sharing thermometers, self-testing kits, etc. to help each other, the Chinese leadership is determined to successfully handle this new phase of anti-epidemic with the support of its people.
